Because inflation. JK, but not really..
When the government is printing money, what does that mean? Ultimately, it will take more money to purchase goods and services. This explains why people will be able to sell items for more than they bought them for. There have been extreme examples of inflation in other countries, and we can only hope that this does not happen here.
Anyhow, here’s a list of luxury goods that are worth the splurge:
Useful Everyday Luxuries
I have a pair with an embroidered flower from 2017, but Gucci Mules make life easy when it comes to “professional” settings. I’ve made good use of mine over the last three years ❤
Louis Vuitton Neverfull
The Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM is a great bag for fitting everything you need in, while keeping its shape. I’d throw my laptop, stationery set, charging bag, and wallet in there and be out the door!
My favorite jewelers and jewelry designers (that I found on Instagram) right now are Ashley Zhang, Maejean Vintage of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Meeka Fine Jewelry of Newport, Rhode Island.
Luxury Goods: Increased Liquidity
With the advent of Poshmark, luxuries like handbags, shoes, jewelry, perfumes, and clothing are more liquid than ever before. It is now commonplace to sell the items in your closet.
Additionally, due to the advancements we have made as a society in our focus on living sustainably, the second-hand, vintage, and collector’s markets are set to grow considerably.
